Whether you already have a van and would like to find out if it is suitable, or you’re looking at purchasing a van, here’s some tips on what to look out for.
The van needs to have side loading doors to get to the front part of the van where equipment and chemicals will be kept.
It is also preferable that the van has blacked out windows for security reasons. You will have equipment and a dip tank in the back, so to prevent theft it’s an idea to reduce visibility.
Extra facilities such as a Sat Nav to find your way to customer’s houses, air conditioning for hot & busy summer days, and hands free to allow you to answer calls whilst driving. These are features that, although not compulsory, will make your life a little easier on the road.
The exterior of your van needs to be kept tidy and in good condition. First impressions are important, so it is best to always keep your van clean and tidy, especially for a cleaning business!
You will need to ply line the floor and sides of the van.
If you are attending a training day or having a Dip Tank fitted here at Dirtbusters then we will do the rest.
Our carpenters will fit a bulk head to separate the Dip Tank form the rest of the van. In the back of the van, a waterproof panel will be fitted underneath and behind the tank.
We will also provide you with regulation flammable gas stickers for your van.
